Arlene J. Milostan

March 23, 1934 — April 10, 2025

Arlene Joyce Milostan, 91, of Rogers City, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Medilodge of Greenview in Alpena.

The daughter of Henry Sr. and Rose (Krupa) Cetus, was born on March 23, 1934, in Cross Village. She attended the one-room Cross Villages Schoolhouse and continued Her High School Education in Harbor Springs, graduating in 1951. She married Tony Milostan on June 5, 1954, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cross Village by Reverend Father Brendan Wolf, O.F.M. In 1955, together they moved to Rogers City and made it their home.

Arlene was a secretary-bookkeeper for 40 years, working for power companies, and Co-Owner of Milostan Plumbing & Heating for 35 Years. She was active in the community, volunteering as the assistant director of the Nautical Festival Queen’s pageant, Rogers City Chamber of Commerce, and was an officer and founder of the Rogers City Senior Center. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and enjoyed being in the choir for 45 years, a member and officer of Daughters of Isabella, St. Margaret Mary Circle #974. She was a religious instructor at the school and President of P.T.G. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Rogers City Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame, 1993, Meritorious Service.

Surviving are her son Mark (Deborah) of Alpena; two grandchildren, Megan and Matthew; two sisters, Virginia (Austin) Cole of Petoskey, Carolyn (Tim) Bruning of Rogers City, and a brother, Henry Jr. (Jeannie) Cetus of Rogers City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony in 2011, and two sisters Evelyn Rogers, and Rosemary Smith.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 15 at Hentkowski Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Reverend Don Geyman officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Ignatius Catholic Church or The Rogers City Senior Center.
