Sally A. Ruxton

               Sally Antoinette Ruxton, 84, of Cheboygan passed away peacefully with her husband by her side Thursday, December 28, 2023.

            The daughter of Edward M. and Antoinette (Socolovitch) Easter was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 23, 1939.  She graduated from Lady of the Wood High School continuing her education at Mt. Carmel School of Nursing.  Sally met the love of her life Wayne David Rexton at the Aloha Store, where he was a Park Ranger.  They were united in marriage on September 14, 1963.  She began her nursing career at Little Traverse Hospital in Petoskey, and ended her career with Community Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan.

            Surviving is her husband Wayne, a daughter Shawn (Don) Jana of Canton, two sons Greg Ruxton of Meridian, Idaho and David (Erin) Ruxton of Colorado Springs, Co; four sisters Judy (Mark) Ross of Grand Rapids, Linda (Ralph) Schweigert of Gaylord, Monica (Don) Duczkowski of Cheboygan, two brothers Tom (Dawn) Easter, and Mike Easter both of Florida; and seven grandchildren.

            Cremation arrangements are in the care of Hentkowski Funeral Home in Rogers City. There will be a memorial service in Sally’s honor in the spring.  Online condolences may be sent to hentkowskifuneral.com
