Sandra Jean Wojtaszek, 83, of Rogers City, passed away December 26, 2021, due to COVID-19, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alpena.
She was born June 13, 1938 in Rogers City to the late Louis and Clara (Schalk) Ohlrich. Upon graduating from Rogers City High School in 1956, she took a position with Stoneport Corporation as an office assistant. Shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, Rueben Wojtaszek, with whom she spent 60 happily married years. Sandra will best be remembered by family and friends as a person who took pride in everything she did. Her passion in life was being a caregiver to her family, never asking for anything in return.
Surviving are four children Rueben, Jr., Mary Sue Alford, Kristi Bluestone, and Steven; five grandchildren Noah, Nikki, Aaron, Simon and Samuel; four brothers Kenneth, Bill (JoAnn), Gary (Lynn), and Ron (Connie), and one sister Eunice (Red) Spayth; a sister-in-law Betty Ohlrich and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben on June 5, 2018; a son Paul in 1984; five sisters Doris Sweeney, Virgilene LeVeck, Shirley Rose, Eileen Ohlrich, Arlene Flowers and one brother, Robert Ohlrich.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Hentkowski Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
